When Can You Remove The Bandage After A Blood Draw
I'm such a wimp but does anyone who has a claret test know how long you lot should proceed the bandage on and how to accept information technology off without whatever hurting or sting at all?
Is in that location any adventure of infection is there is an open up there?
Cheers
I do the tests actually often cause of my basketball game tests and take it off after 3 minutes max. Nothing always happened to me.
You mean similar a sticking plaster? I always do it after like an hour.
Saying that, I ordinarily but get given a piece of cotton wool...

Saying that, I unremarkably just get given a piece of cotton wool...
Oh yeh, lamentable, it is pretty much cotton wool with a sticky bit lol...thanks
I know that when I requite platelets I'yard supposed to continue the plaster on for around 4-six hours IIRC, but that's a bigger needle. I'd give information technology a few hours just to be on the prophylactic side. As long as there was plenty pressure put on it afterward the needle went out then at that place shouldn't accept been too much haemorrhage, and the plaster is just there as a safeguard.
As to taking it off without any pain or sting? Is it literally some gauze under a bandage or is it a sticky plaster? If it's a sticky plaster you could soak it off in the bath/shower. Otherwise merely accept off the cast and gauze and it shouldn't hurt tbh.
The hole is then modest that the chances of infection are very slim, as it'll start to heal over quickly!
I always just get a piece of cotton fiber to dab on it for a couple of minutes but it'south normally gone past the time I get out and doesn't really hurt anymore

That'southward the all-time kind...the cotton wool doesn't sick to your peel and pull your hairs out, so it's painless to remove .
You just need it on for a minute or two
I usually have information technology off by the time I am at the automobile park! :P

I know that when I give platelets I'g supposed to keep the plaster on for around iv-6 hours IIRC, but that's a bigger needle. I'd give it a few hours just to be on the safe side. As long as there was plenty pressure level put on information technology after the needle went out so in that location shouldn't have been too much bleeding, and the plaster is just at that place as a safeguard.
As to taking it off without any pain or sting? Is information technology literally some gauze under a bandage or is information technology a gummy plaster? If it's a sticky plaster y'all could soak it off in the bath/shower. Otherwise just take off the bandage and gauze and it shouldn't hurt tbh.
The hole is and then small that the chances of infection are very slim, as it'll start to heal over apace!
